Famous Bear Kills Trainer

Hi everyone.
This is Keiko and Tomomi from Mr. Pals class.

Summary:
An animal trainer was killed by a greasy bear which is famous and have appeared on a Movie. It was happened in the wild animal traning facility, “RANDY MILLER’s PREDATORS IN ACTION” where is in east Los Angeles, California. The trainer was bited his neck and jugular and died before coming the ambulance.

Interests:
I think it is sad story. I don't know why the bear killed his trainer though they had a good relation till then. In my opinion, I think the bear just acted on instinct. The human being is a kind of animals, but there is the difference that wheter to be able to control their feelings. Therefore, the bear coudn't that, and killed the trainer. Acording to the idea, also I can say that the discriminate killers are colser to the animals than humans.

Question:
Can you take the deadly job which is like the wild animal trainer? Why or Why not?

What do you think is the reason why the bear killed his trainer?

DISCUSSION COMMENT #1 - This comment is from Yumika Koyama from Mr. Pals' class.

Hi Tomomi and Keiko,

Thank you for the interesting video about the story that a famous bear killed his trainer.

I have heard the news like this case that the trained animals killed their trainer before in Japan. The case that trained animals killed their trainer is sometimes can happen allover the world, so I think it is difficult for human to train wild animals.

My answer to your first question is
no. I can not take the deadly job but if the job was the my dream since childhood, I might choose the job even the job is deadly one.

My answer to your second question is I am not sure but I think it might have been just a sense of playing with his trainer for the bear. I also think that the bear might have been really hungry at that time. In any case it is difficult for us to distinguish they are really trained or not and they really perceive a trainer as their trainer or not.

My question for you is simple: What does the bear recognize his trainer as? As a trainer, friends or a food?

Thank you.

Yumika

Hello, Tomomi and Keiko.

Thank you for the interesting video about "Famous Bear Kills Trainer."

This news has the scene that the bear attacked the trainer, and it impressed me very well. I often hear that animals in a circus injure the trainers. The only thing that I can tell you is that as we treat some animals which may attack human, we have to think how dangerous to play with them.

My answer to your first question: No, I would never do such dangerous job because I don't just want to be killed by anyone, even animals.

My answer to your second question: I think that the bear cannot put up with the trainer anymore because the trainer forced the bear to do something that he doesn't like.

My question for you is: When you happen to see dangerous animal by chance, what would you do first?

Thank you,

Kasumi
